Our Team
Pastor Josh came to Hammond CRC as Interim Pastor in September of 2021. He was born in Artesia, California and lived in Wayne, New Jersey in Jr. High and High School. He has lived in China for three years teaching university students and has also worked with Home Medical Equipment.
Josh's wife, Karen, is an RN. They have five children, Levi, Miriam, Naomi, Olivia, and Philip. Josh enjoys hiking and camping, playing a little guitar, and getting to know people. Karen enjoys scrapbooking and cross stitch. Pastor Josh serves the Hammond CRC while also taking a Chicago Course on Preaching with the Charles Simeon Trust.
His favorite verse is Romans 8:38-39: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Thankful for Christ’s everlasting blessings, we welcome Pastor Josh Christoffels, his wife, Karen, and their family. We are blessed that they graciously accepted our invitation to lead us at Hammond CRC. We look forward to Pastor Christoffels shepherding our congregation in Christ’s name and for the privilege of praying and caring for him and his family as part of our local body.
